The insanity has ebbed.

I do not want to brag, or appear negative with this post. Im just stating the facts of the last month for my records. Ultra Source the salon I have been at for the last two years became so unbearable I just couldn't afford to work there any longer. Literally. With the gas and time I spent sitting their, just wasn't going to work. Plus I have a problem with working with special needs adults that ruin peoples lives and there hair! I was sitting in my chair and not one person was doing hair the SATURDAY before Thxgiving. I realized that we were not busy then that it just wasn't going to happen. I packed up my stuff and left without even saying that I quit. It was a bit rude or irresponsible but I really have a whole new drama of why I just left. So sweet! Im free to be home with Brad and I can make dinner and be a cute wife, After all I still have my nanny job and home salon right? um. no. A week later my nanny family regretfully had to suspend my employment for a couple months, maybe longer because they can't afford any extras any longer. They have closing costs from a previous home and I more than understand.I really loved being a nanny, and I will miss the great girls. So now I have the salon and it does help a bit but it would be so nice to come upon a child and get to feel okay with staying at home and being lame. Sheesh, if anything I just want to stay home! And I can't justify doing that when I can work. Now I am off to look for a job, or register for a math class for winter or do something with my life. As for the insanity of having 3 jobs, a HUGE calling, exercising, adoption progress, and lunch date with friends. All has slowed down completely. I was released from primary, and now a month later find myself more than free for anything. And that is all folks.

Dinner with the whole famdamily.

The college gals came down to visit for turkey day. They looked great and didn't leave town until I had completely tinseled both linds and Kelsey. Did I mention that tinsel is bomb and people pay a lot for it? Yep. Sweet tomatoes is more than ideal for the family to go and eat. Mom and Dad are on the South beach diet and loosing like crazy. They can eat nonstop. People usually stare at our massive group of females, this dinner was no exception except we were all dressed in matching colors from our family pix. I can't wait to post them! Kels is an amazing photographer.

Turkey day cont.

My Aunt Colleen is so willing to always host Thanksgiving at her compound. I do remember hosting it and it is a pain and usually my parents would stress and be grumpy after. So I am okay with going to her home. We used to have a mini rodeo with roping and relays on the horses but with our huge numbers don't allow for that now. The last time I rode a horse was ten or more years ago. My mother was with me and said my rear was as big as the horses, and I had not riding since. I tell you this mostly because I became busy and was no longer able to find time but the rear comment did make an impact. I would like to say that my rear is still as big if not bigger now. I did get back on and had a great time walking around with my cousin and her spouse. I just love horses. They are magnificent animals. We call Brooke the horse face because well she is in love with her palominos.

Turkey pit style.

Since I go to bed at 9 usually I was not around to experience the turkey pit ceremonies this year. Its a tradition that makes Thanksgiving so perfect. As kids we would stay up and stare at the fire as it burned down to make those great turkey coals. Call me nostalgic. The birds were yummy and thanks to Brads work we got a HUGE bird with a gift card from his work. Brent Stapley always does are turkeys he is the best. Notice I was in bed asleep when these pix were taken, yep those toads love to stay up all night! Whoo hoo.

The pix are a bit blurry. So sorry, that is concert pix for ya!

Kenny Loggins... is still quite sexy.

Dad months in advance bought tickets for us married people to go and have a group date together. We hit outback with the family and then set off to see Kenny at the Celebrity theater. We had such a great time, Raylene's Birthday was the week after so we celebrated more than once! Lucky 26. Can I just say that anything at Outback is just divine. Kenny was great at performing, keeping us interested and like most concerts we go to watching the awkward people is enough entertainment for me. There are some serious wacks out there. Just imagine people that are old trying to be young and dancing with there moves. Awkward. Thanks Dad for the great night! We love you.

Thanksgiving 2010

Happy Thanksgiving. I am most grateful that the daily alphabet gratitude posts on Facebook have ended. What a long month. We have so much to be grateful for. We are blessed to have our health, great family and jobs that keep us alive and well. I have so many more fun pix to come. The food was great, Ray and I were in charge of the potatoes, which turned out okay. Moms dressing was to die for and it was so nice to see so many cousins this holiday season.

Dangers of microwaving food.

I stole this.
The microwave has been an integral part of our kitchen for as long as I can remember. But I started reading more and more data talking about why it was harmful. It changes the chemical structure of our food, most often turning it into carcinogen filled byproducts of its former nutritious self. And each food category changes in different ways. This disturbed me and motivated me to stop using ours. This video presents some of that data but in a very brief way. I have also included links where you can read more yourself if this video is not enough for you.

Dinner murder mystery evening

Happy Halloween! We had such a blast with this murder mystery game. We got to meet some really fun couples from the ward and had a chance to dress up and eat some great food. The theme was their has been a murder by the grill. So we stuck with the game theme and had a BBQ. The burgers were turkey and were so yummy and we had all the trimmings. Christa Moak was a great game leader and the couple all walked away with one of the yummy caramel apples. Brad and I love to host parties and are so glad to meet new people in the ward.

Farm day with the babes

Brookes and maddi are sure little cow girls. They are so lucky to get to feed the horses and sit on them whenever they want!. Miss Avery was able to come and play with us for the morning. She loves horses but they were a little to real for her to want to sit on them. Miss Avery and I got to feed the horses carrots, we went to the mall and saw the puppies, rode the carousel, ate lunch and then went and saw Toy Story 3. Sometimes it is really hard to see so many mommy's that get to go and play all the time with their kids. People assume that Avery is mine but the truth is I have no idea how things work when it comes to moms and the mall. The mall every week sponsors a kids club for babies we showed up this week at the end of it. Hundreds of kids are dressed in their Halloween costumes and it looked like they were having a blast. I really felt left out, and even more felt sad that I was in a way renting a child for the day. I am blessed to have such fun girls to watch and hang with, but I could only imagine how fun it would be with my own.

Happy Halloween.

I recently just came to realize that the traditions that we do every year is what makes the holidays so great. The holiday itself has always been a bit lame, but the pix and memories and getting to share our talents is what makes the holiday so great. We carved our pumpkins and had pizza, and had our annual caramel apple party. They are the best apples. ever.

Date night with the babies.

Mom and Dad needed a night to hang out without the babies so Brad and I took them on a date. We have to show them how dating is done so they know what is up in a few years! We went to Macayo's for dinner. It was really yummy and the girls really are perfect angles. We got to see the balloon guy make some fun balloon animals for them to play with. After we hit Bass pro shop to look at all the animals. Both of the girls loved the fish and the ducks. All I can say is bravo to the people that thought of putting a TV into cars. The girls just were happy as can be. After feeding them a whole bag of gummy worms and chocolate covered pretzels they were ready to go home!.

Play day at the park!

The cutest nieces ever! We had fun feeding the ducks, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and having fun in the sun on a beautiful fall day. We have to live it up before baby #3 comes and Rays life ends as we know it. A boy is coming quickly and is going to rock all of our worlds! Playdays with Ray keep me alive.

Happy 30th Birthday Brad

Happy Birthday to an amazing man who treats me so great. Really, all that you deal with you always are so happy and at peace. Thank you for always supporting me and for working so hard. We have such a great life because of you. Brad you are my best friend and I look forward to many more fun years ahead. I wish you the best 30th year until the 31st b-day comes!
