Baby update.

Okay. So we are going through the fun world of infertility for the three or less readers I have on this blog that may not know yet. Brad's doctor at the last appointment told us that our infertility problems are more difficult then the stress levels from people who go through cancer diagnosis and treatment. Lucky for Brad he gets to go through both of these experiences. As his dad died 3 years ago today from cancer! The doctor told us its normal is be angry, to cry, and then to make choices that would be the best for both of us. It is not fun trying to work on getting certified for adoption, work on my personal fertility appointments and cover all of Brad's infertility as well.( Which most is not covered by insurance!)Probably not the best idea doing all three at once. I am so impatient and have my 27th birthday next month, which is annoying and terrifying. I feel old and don't know what I have done with my life thus far.
A possible baby may be open for us to adopt coming up in the next 5 weeks. Pray that it works out and that the mother see's that we are capable and able to take her baby. We do not know what the baby's sex is, but she is due May 5th.
Also, we have a 15% chance of a successful pregnancy through invitro. After going through 2 surgeries with Brad and I.Injections, pills, more appointments may be in the future still. Brad and I are in the process of deciding what to do still. I am a realist and know that my husband needs to father his children, but I don't see how the stats given can prove that it MAY work. We will probably go with a sperm donor in the end. It does not matter how a spirit arrives to earth, the most important thing is that the baby is healthy and comes to a great home and family that will love them and raise them in the gospel.
It is a trial physically, financially, emotionally, and a marriage strengthener or destroyer. I am learning to be patient, kind and positive in this affliction. Who knows I may even be a bit more Christlike after this is all said and done. In the mean time, Monday is our home check and 3 hour interview with the adoption agency. Pray that I behave and don't say anything awkward or offensive! We are getting our pool fence up and getting the guns out of the house.

Phx Zoo with the Bowles and Gma

We really had such a great time at the Zoo. It had been YEARS since we had been to the zoo. IT was pretty warm which meant all the cool animals (lions, tigers, rhinos, cheetahs, and jaguars were all sleeping.) LAMENESS! We missed uncle Brad but he gets to work so we get to keep our home! Th girls loved the animals and did so great all day!. Thanks mom for the fun time and the great memories.

Got to love life. You only get one!

I blame my really lame job on all the extra time I have on my hands. Brad and I have been having so much fun together going on our little adventures. We took a trip to Usuary pass and spent the day hiking and eating lunch.

Brad also received a great bonus at his work! Hooray for extra needed cash when we want it the most! Brad has been begging for a grill for a while now so we finally went and invested in one. Serious. We have missed grilling and I think it is the best thing in the world. To throw something on and then eat by the pool during a beautiful sunset, not one complaint! We have grilled ribs with a homemade chipoltle sauce. Tomatoes, french bread and mozzarella with turkey burgers. Next is grilled pineapple and chicken. Enjoy the beautiful spring because summer is on the way and it is going to suck!.

A shout out to the family.

A couple thoughts of gratitude to my sister and her family. They really are such a great example and support to Brad and I during this fun time in our lives. Really I spend more time at the Bowles home then my own. We have so much fun doing crafts, vinyl, shopping and just hanging together. I am really excited about DC as a med school choice, but will have a huge void in my life if they move cross country. Some fun pix of Brookie when she was able to come out to our house for the night. Thanks Brad for fixing our broken disposal, for installing my new ceiling fans, and for installing the new pool fence. You guys are the best!

Spring is here!

Brad and I have a yearly tradition of taking a drive around the desert to look at all the blooms in the dessert. So yesterday, we went for a ride all the way up to saguaro lake and back to look at all of the wildflowers that were in bloom. We have had a lot of Spring rain, so now we have lots of beautiful flowers! They were all along the road. We stopped a couple of times to take in their beauty. Then, on the way back, we drove to Usury pass, pulled over and ate our lunch that we had brought. It was a beautiful Spring day and we enjoyed being out in nature. The doggers also loved to be out hiking around and enjoying the tons of smells all over!

Happy 50th Birthday Dad!
