This is what I LOVE to do! Girls camp is such a great thing for so many girls with the development of friendships, testimony and self esteem. This was the second year in our Stake that I was able to go and be one of the cooks for camp. I worked with such a great new friend that teaches me lots and keeps me in line. She worked her fanny off with little sleep and huge stress and everything turned out great. We had some drama with the people count and some meat was cooled wrong and it rotted but we had a great time. All my recipes turned out so great! We had a refrigerated truck this year so we didn't have hundreds of pounds and a bunch of chests to lift and unload. The girls were so gracious and appreciative, really they had a blast and we did to. I hope to go for as many years as they will let me. Daddy and Aunt Mary with Nana had Brayden while I was gone.
We did a stuffed french toast with blueberries, taco salad, Hawaiian haystacks, a BBQ chicken meal, a Shredded Pork Sandwhich, pancake breakfast, parfaits, and breakfast burros, an Italian Pasta night and a homemade hotfudge Sundae. Well just a few of what we did!
